About

Are you sick and tired of being in pain, stiff or dizzy? Don’t feel safe or feel up to driving to a hospital or outpatient physical therapy clinic? Is your time and money important to you? Tired of the headache of trying to find and pay for a baby sitter. Don’t want to bother your friends and family to drive you to your PT appointments and have them wait in the car for an hour multiple days a week after your orthopedic surgery, total knee or total hip replacement. Are you tired of waiting one to two months to be seen by your Doctor. Do you work and can’t make it to your outpatient physical therapy clinic during normal traditional business hours? I understand all of these scenarios and can relate to how frustrating it can be. Which is why I decided to offer the skills and services that I provide as a Doctor of Physical Therapy to you in your home by doing the traveling for you. I believe patients should have the choice to be able to schedule their appointments around what matters most to them and not the other way around.  This is why I offer non traditional hours such as weekend appointments or late week day appointments so that there is no need for you to call off work to get the care you need.

Are you unsure if physical therapy can even help because you have had an unsuccessful experience in the past? Was the care you received one on one your whole session, hands on, provided by an assistant or technician, mainly just heat, exercises, ice and electrical stimulation? Every clinic operates differently and every therapist treats differently. What I have found based on my own personal experience as a patient and as a physical therapist who has worked in a busy outpatient clinic in the past that required therapist to double or even triple booked patients is that the care provided had worse outcomes compared to the outcomes that were provided one on one with the same Physical Therapist every visit.  In home – Manual and Vestibular Therapy is a mobile PT clinic that shows up to your door step and provide outpatient Physical Therapy services in the comfort of your own home. These sessions are one on one hands on services for a full hour and a half. I then provide a home exercise program that is personalized to you based on what I find during my evaluation. All the exercises that I will recommend will be able to be completed at home without the need to use any fancy or expensive exercise equipment. I will custom make your exercise program online and print or email it to you. If more then one session is required every follow up appointment will be with the same therapist every time.

Exercise programs can also be given for dizziness or vertigo. However, you most likely won’t need any exercises as 80% of vertigo cases are a peripheral issue (not an issue with your brain) and the majority of peripheral vertigo is usually a condition called BPPV. BPPV is the easiest and quickest pathology I have ever treated as a physical therapist and most people don’t know that it can be cured in one to three physical therapy sessions by just maneuvering your head into different positions based on which test is positive during your evaluation. Certain head positions followed by certain maneuvers to other head positions can actually allow gravity to reposition the crystals that are out of alignment back to where they belong thus elimination the vertigo and dizziness you used to have.

About Me

Hello, my name is Tim Thomas PT, DPT, COMT, CVT.

I graduated from Penn State University with my undergrad degree in Kinesiology also know as exercise science. I then went on to get my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Gannon University.

I have spent the past 10 years working in multiple different Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapy Clinics. During this time I have continued my education to stay up to date on the services I provide by becoming a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist along with a Certified Vestibular Therapist. I recently decided to open my own business in order to further my professional growth and reach even more patients that could benefit from the skills and services I offer.
